Yesterday I walked away from my career. In my final year of college at UCF, I decided to change my major from Finance to Accounting, because I was afraid that most of the finance jobs were going to be in sales. At that time, the goal was for me to graduate and get a job as quickly as possible so that I could work and go to Seminary part time. We thought we would be on the mission field in about five years. Well, it took a bit longer than expected, and now, 10 years later, I have been given the opportunity to join the staff at our church as a Missions Apprentice in order to be trained and to have the flexibility to build a support team as quickly as possible.
We are blown away by the generosity of Church of the Redeemer and Trinity Presbyterian Church, who are making this possible. This is a really unique opportunity, and we are so grateful to get to spend the next year being trained by the men we respect the most!
